LAZY RIVER DREAMING (Rio Grande at Pilar, New Mexico) - New 30"x24 Work in Progress - Glazes & Middle Tones. Glazes are usually the dark colors on your palette thinned to a transparency with painting medium. Middle tones are a mixture of opaque colors and glazes. Color Notes: Sky: Permalba wite, Cerulean Blue. Hills: Holbein Portland warm greys, Dioxazine Purple, Paynes Grey. Foliage; Yellow Ochre, Gold Ochre, Burnt Sienna. Holbein Green grey, Chrome Oxide Green Opaque. Water: Permalba White, Cerulean Blue, Paynes Grey, Chrome Oxide Green Opaque - some Prussian Blue and Burnt Sienna for darkest Glazes.

River: Prussian Blue, Permalba White. Foliage: Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Chrome Oxide Green Opaque.

First Snow (on the floor) - hope to have it completed by the end of the week - then shipped to long time collector in Virginia. A good start....
