Remembering: Many years ago my friend Susie Romero, daughter of Truchas Mayordomo Cosme Romero, took me to the loft of this old church (La Nuestra Senora del Rosario) to show me the lists of Truchas men who had served in war. It was an unforgettable homage. Today I would also like to remember my uncle Major Roy Knoll who served in Burma and Calcutta during WWII, uncle Alvin Hermesdorf who fought in the Battle of the Bulge....and all those who have served this country in uniform.
