15"x30" Oil on Canvas -Blocked this painting in late last night -- to make the "oil sketch" I mixed oil pigments with MG Fast Drying White and Turpentine. Work fast and loose -- this stage of the painting is only a "road map" -- Keep coming back!

GESSOING -- PREPARING THE CANVASES TO PAINT

In the studio - getting ready for some winter work -- Mix gesso (usually acrylic) with Payne's Gray acrylic paint - thin with water to a consistency that will not leave heavy brushstrokes on the canvases -- let dry for a few days before applying paint.
